Some of the newer class offerings for students are Culinary Science, Applied Engineering in the High school. Work Study has been continued this year bring work world experience to students. Other traditional Ag. courses of Wood and Metals Shop, Business Management and Leadership are offered. The Applied Engineering class is a cooperative effort with 3M in introducing students to Mechatronics. Which is the study of design and application of Electronic, Pneumatics and Conveyers form design to application. Currently industry has a vast need for employees who can vision production and technology together to meet the industrial needs. Current college training are not able to meet these needs , so 3M is working with local schools to start to generate interest of students to fill this pipeline that is lacking at this time. Stay tuned for more information to be coming. In closing, if there is a project the students could do for you, I am always open to more real life experiences to help reinforce the course material.
