The Nicollet Public School is excited to partner with the Mankato Moondogs in Muttnick’s Reading Club, running February 28 through April 2. This exciting program encourages students to track their reading minutes, reach personalized goals, and earn prizes — all while building enthusiasm for reading.
Classroom teachers will set differentiated reading goals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Base, and Home Run. Each base goal is designed to be completed within one week, with the Home Run goal spanning two weeks to include Spring Break.
Students will:
Track their reading minutes each week
Obtain a parent/guardian signature
Turn completed forms in to their teacher
Teachers will monitor progress and share updates with the Moondogs, who will provide prizes for each milestone:
1st Base (Feb 28–Mar 6): Moondogs Folder
2nd Base (Mar 7–13): Two free Habaneros tickets (valid for any 2026 regular season game)
3rd Base (Mar 14–20): Moondogs logo baseball
Home Run (Mar 21–Apr 2): Two free Moondogs tickets (valid for one designated 2026 game)
