Nicollet Middle and High School Students were reminded today that they are not alone when Terrence Talley visited to share a message about supporting one another and recognizing the struggles people may be facing.
A central message of Talley’s presentation was, “I got your back.” He encouraged students to look out for the people around them and to be willing to offer support when someone is going through a difficult time.
Talley also reminded students that people can be hurting and struggling in different ways, even when those struggles are not obvious to others. Someone who appears to be doing fine on the outside may still be dealing with challenges privately.
His message encouraged students to be more aware of those around them, to show kindness and compassion, and to remember that no one has to face difficult times alone.
The presentation served as a reminder that a simple act of support or letting someone know “I’ve got your back” can make a difference.
