Today Nicollet Public School students participated in a tour focused on manufacturing, technical education and career opportunities available in the local area.
The students visited South Central College, Condux International and Winegar Inc. as part of the experience. Each stop gave students a different perspective on education, career opportunities and skills needed in today’s manufacturing industry.
At South Central College, students learned about the college’s hands-on programs and how technical education can prepare them for careers after high school. The visits to Condux International and Winegar Inc. allowed students to see manufacturing in action and learn more about the variety of jobs available within the industry.
Throughout the tour, students were provided with an opportunity to ask questions, see workplaces firsthand and learn about career options they may not have previously considered.
